Your Honor

Today, i am gonna give my opinion on an Indian webseries named Your Honor. This is the series which i would recommend everyone to watch. After a long, i got to see a show which is without any propoganda which bollywood usually shows in most of their movies and shows. The show is adapted from Israel tv series kvodo. The show was also adapted by Americans for one of their limited series with the same name (Your Honor) Indian version was made.

In the US adaptation of the show, Brayan Cranston is the protagonist and in Indian Adaptation, Jimmy Shergill is the protagonist. I haven't seen the US adaptation but i have watched the Indian adaptation of the show. Every actor did justice to the character they played in the show.

The show explores the relationship between  father and son. Jimmy Shergill played the role of a Judge who is trying to save his son because his son was involved in the accident of a gangster son. The show potrays  how difficult it is for a single parent to look after and maintain a child. Along with financial needs, it is very difficult to fulfill emotional needs. As the protagonist was a Judge, he didn't get the time to know his son better after the death of the mother of the son. He was also dealing with his own pain and death of his wife. He was doing everything to take care of his son's needs but somehow, he disappoints him every time. But sometimes, it was not his fault, his teenager son overreacts unnecessarily in some situations.  The patience he was having with his son was remarkable. He played the perfect father. If anyone was in his place, i think he would have lost his mind.

When you will watch the show, you will see it yourself how dumb🙍 type of teenager is played by actor Pulkit Makol perfectly. But in the end of the show, you will see he was not that dumb, he was the smartest one. Pulkit Makol played his role in such a way that you will just want to punch the character on the face. In my opinion,  Pulkit was successful to get anger out of audience for playing a dumb teenager 😁 and i think that's a sign of good acting.

Suhasini Mulay did justice to her character.  She was playing Jimmy's mother in law and Pulkit's maternal grandmother. As an audience, i enjoyed the verbal spat scene between her and Jimmy. Her portrayal of a caring grandmother was also good. Care shown by her character looks genuine.

Bikramjeet Kanwarpal ji's portrayal of a judge was also awesome. His character was kind of both funny and serious and i enjoyed his acting the most of all the actors in the show. Without him, the episode  would have become dull. He acted as a catalyst in the storyline.

Mita Vashishth acting was good. She portrayed the role of Police Officer but in some scene her character was also overreacting and i think it's not her fault. It was director's fault. Her character could be shown more powerful.

Yashpal Sharma was playing the role of a gangster and it was not the first time, he played a gangster. I didn't felt that he was typecast and it seemed Pankaj Tripathi copies his acting and style in his movies and series to some extent. This is my personal view.

I will not disclose the story of the show, watch it yourself 😜. It's worth watching. It's a legal drama, so every law student and lawyer should also watch it. You will be hooked to the show because of the originality of the event displayed in the show.
