Do Miz need hardcore ?

 

Today, I am going to write about what WWE Superstar Miz lacks in his career. He has great mic-skills which is necessary to have, if you want to become successful in WWE but in other wrestling promotion, it is not that important. Other wrestling promotion focuses more on in-ring abilities of wrestlers. Whenever Miz is on mic, he destroys his opponent completely with his words, you can see this in his feud with John Cena.

He is showing his atheletism from a very long time and it’s surprising to see that he never had any major injury throughout his career and it’s a good thing because of this factor he can compete with future Superstar in WWE and can help the newcomers in shaping their career, like now he is helping Damien Priest. This will also help him in cementing his legacy with great storylines. He is going to last longer period in WWE, if he continues to perform like this.

Miz is a great entertainer but there are types of matches in which he has never competed and if he would have competed in those types of matches, his career would have sky rocketed like that of Edge, John Cena, Randy Orton and CM Punk. He would have become multiple time WWE Champion like all of these Superstars I have mentioned.

The matches in which he had never competed are “Hardcore Match” and “Hell in a Cell Match”. If he had competed in any of these two matches, I can bet he could have become a most Successful Heel Superstar than Edge, Orton and Punk altogether. Now, I will give you the example of two matches which helped two Superstar to become a legend.

Randy Orton Vs Mick Foley (Cactus Jack) in a “No Hold Barred” match ( which is a type of hardcore match) in Backlash in year 2004, established Randy as a hardcore wrestler in “Ruthless Aggression Era”. Because of this match, he became more popular among fans. The punishment to which he had gone through the match helped the fans recognize the fact that he can compete in a singles match like a main eventer and have the capability to become the biggest draw of the company. This match also proved that he can survive without a stable.

Edge Vs Mick Foley in a “Hardcore Match” in Wrestlemania 22 in year 2006 helped him a lot in later part of his career. That match established the fact that Edge is a complete wrestler who can go through any amount of pain and can compete in any type of match. Earlier he performed in tables, ladders and chairs  (TLC) only in tag team matches but in this match he performed as a single competitor and proved his niche (position) as a single competitor. After this match, he also performed in “Hell in a Cell” match against “The Undertaker” in year 2008 in “Summerslam”.

So, this is what Miz really lacks in his career. He need someone like Foley to compete in such match. This could have happened in his feud with "Dean Ambrose" but WWE did’t thought about it. A hardcore match between Miz and Ambrose could have helped both of them and would have immensely helped the establishing the future legends easily.

 He should have been part of such matches long ago to make his career more memorable. I don’t know whether he himself don’t want to be part of such matches or WWE is reluctant to take chance on him in regard to such matches. Whatever it is, he should perform once in such match before he retires.
