Retirement of Undertaker
Today, i would like to share my thoughts on the retirement of my favorite WWE wrestler 'The Undertaker'. I always wanted like any other fan that taker should have been retired with an undefeated wrestlemania streak. They did not make lose once but twice at wrestlemania as if once was not enough. He is one of a kind of legend and before his retirement, WWE almost ruined his legacy. He deserves more.
Almost all his fans who was following him from attitude era days and ruthless aggression era days wanted him to have a clean big win over Brock Lesnar which he never got in any PPV. Even, i was waiting from many years for the return of lesnar so that Taker could have a wrestlemania win over him or any clean win in any PPV and then retire by defeating his one of the strongest competitors. I don't remember clearly but i think he got 2-3 wins over lesnar in smackdown but other than that taker never got any clean win over lesnar in any PPV and then also make him lose to Roman Reigns which was also not fair. Taker should have retired long ago with an undefeated streak by having a clean win over lesnar who was also is his most strongest competitor in WWE storylines.
And the way Taker retired today in survivor series was not at all good. Personally i didn't liked it, it should have been done in the presence of audience and not in the empty arena. Atleast, they should have allowed all wrestlers of the company to be the part of actual audience and that would have been so much great. His farewell should have been in the presence of other wrestlers as actual audience or WWE should have waited for his proper farewell. In this farewell the only good thing was Paul Bearer hologram image and the way Taker made everyone emotional because anyone can see that he doesn't want to retire but he had to because of his age and the body can't take it anymore, it's too much to risk his body on the line for the fans or even for himself.
Taker has given soo many great memories to everyone who was following him from their childhood days. In India, when we were not old enough to understand that WWE is scripted, though risks are real, most of the his fans including me who were not adult at that time thought that Taker is immortal in real life. This is the thought which makes every child or teenager his fan automatically. In our mind, Taker can't lose to anyone unless the opponent has done some cheating or applied some cheap trick to have a win over Taker. Taker was unbeatable in our eyes. It shows that by how much perfection he played his character and won the heart of many people. These are my views as an old fan on the retirement of 'dead man, The Undertaker'.
Thank You Taker!!!
